2 million microcompanies with the right to be relieved. This is granted upon application

Almost PLN 4,300 will benefit the self-employed thanks to the three-month relief on ZUS contributions – informs “Rzeczpospolita”. As he emphasises, around 2 million microfirms will be entitled to relief, whether they have suffered from coronavirus or not.

For micro-entrepreneurs employing other persons, the relief will be higher – noted the journal – because it will also cover contributions due on employees’ or contractors’ salaries.

The condition for the payment of the benefit to persons conducting economic activity, paying contributions for themselves only, is to conduct business before 1 February 2020 and revenues below PLN 15,681, with a limit on revenues in the first month for which the entrepreneur applies for exemption. According to “Rzeczpospolita”, if a micro-entrepreneur applies for exemption from contributions for March-May, its March revenues are important. They may have been higher in February.

In the case of a relief for entrepreneurs employing employees, it is also necessary to pay contributions for employed persons, adds “Rzeczpospolita”.

However, the reservation – as we have already written in money.pl, companies that have not repaid their claims for at least three months will not be able to benefit from the aid resulting from the crisis shield.

Some companies, without waiting for help in the form of a shield, say “stop”. In March, more than 48,000 companies suspended their activities, and only over 25,000 in the last week, according to Central Register and Information on Business Activity.
